Cycle one of the oldest states of Europe ”Portugal”. Portugal is bordered with Spain and the Atlantic ocean- the territory of Portugal also includes the Azores and Madeira islands.
Cycle over quiet roads in the hills and through typical small villages in the hilly hinterland of the Algarve
The Algarve is the most important tourist region of Portugal and located in the south of Portugal.
This beautiful region with its wonderful nature and white sandy beaches is perfect for road cycling. Besides the always nice weather, the Algarve is also known for its beautiful old towns, the rocky coasts in the east and in the west of the capital Faro a more than 80 kilometres long coastal strip with all tourist spots and long stretches of beaches.

With its absolutely amazing landscapes, charming villages and beautiful views, Porto and Noth Portugal is one of the hotspot destinations for every cyclist!
The city of Lisbon or Lisboa (in Portuguese) is the beautiful capital and the biggest city in Portugal.
The climate is excellent and with one of the warmest winters in Europe its almost possible to eat outside every day of the year in one of the many top class restaurants in the old city or along the Tagus River.
For cycling just go a little outside Lisbon and explore Sintra or Arrábida natural parks.

There are multiple routes to take, but the most common one follows the N1 (national road). Alternatively, you could take the coastal route, which is more scenic but can be longer. The route is varied. The first part of the route is relatively flat, especially near Lisbon, but you’ll encounter some rolling hills as you approach Porto. Some sections can be quite challenging, so it’s best to be prepared for mixed terrain. We recommend around 5 to 6 cycling days to cycle from Lisbon to Porto or from Porto to Lisbon. Lisbon to Santarém is approx 80 km, Santarém to Coimbra 100 km, and the last stretch Coimbra to Porto also around 100 km.
