Cycle Classic Tours Bikes?

Yes! We do have our own bike fleet in the North of the Netherlands. From here we deliver bikes all around the Netherlands, Belgium, and some parts of Germany. Our bike fleet consists of Trekking Bikes, Road Bikes, Gravel Bikes, and E-Bikes. Our office is based in Steenwijk, and at our basement we have a bike rental outlet and a working place. From here we deliver our bikes to some events in Europe. We are present during some Triathlon events, the Spring Classics in April, Gran Fondo events, Fundraising organizations, or deliver to bike groups, single travelers, and tour operators.

Who is the owner of the other bikes on our Bike Rental Platform

Please note Cycle Classic Tours – CCT Bike Rental does not own the bikes (except the ones above). Our office is based in Steenwijk in the Netherlands. Through the years we have built up a long-term relationship with our fellow bike rental stations suppliers. We have carefully selected all our bike rental stations in many countries in Europe. We guarantee the same prices as the bike rental companies would offer you. For sure, you avoid possible language barriers when reserving/requesting a bike through our Cycle Classic Tours online bookings platform called CCTBIKERENTAL.COM

How does the CCT Bike Rental Platform work?

Request your bike(s) online. Choose your location of rent, choose your bike, and add in the booking process the exact rental period, your height(s), and your name. After your request, we try to answer within 24/48 hours about your requested booking. Please consider your request as not available in case you do not receive an answer from us within 72 hours. We also do not respond to your request if you send the same request to one of our partners/suppliers.

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

With us you can only request a bike rental 3 days before the start date. We don’t take last minute bike rentals to avoid stressful situations. The agenda is also not available to book 2 days in advance. Telephone reservations are not possible with us, only by email or through our bike rental platform.

What is the minimum bike rental period?

The minimum online rental bookings are from 2 days up to 7 days. We don’t offer 1-day rentals

Deliveries?

Many suppliers offer a delivery service. Cycle Classic cooperates with around 250 different bike rental partners. Each supplier has its own system, you can find the info when making the booking/request under important details. The delivery schedule will be organized by the supplier of the bikes, mostly 4-5 days before the start date of your bike rental.

Rental duration?

The bike rental system is always based on calendar days. For example: If you decide to bring back a bike in the morning > this will be considered a full day as this bike can’t be rented to another customer on the same day due to cleaning and repairing of the bike.

Can I pick up the bike the evening or day before?

All bike rentals start on the morning of the first rental day, and you need to return the bike before closing time on the last rental day. A collection the evening before is not possible for logistical reasons. Most suppliers do not know when the bike will be returned by the previous client, and all bikes are then washed and serviced to be prepared for the next day. However, there are exceptions. You can always ask one of our bike rental suppliers.

Sundays?

Some companies are open on Sunday and some are closed. Each supplier has its own opening hours. Some suppliers offer a delivery service on Sunday. Check the specific bookings page to see the opening hours. You can find this info when making the booking under important details.

Bikes are always available?

We don’t know for all locations, with almost all locations, you need to request online first, some bike rental locations ask for an online payment of 15% or 20% to confirm the rental. In case bikes won’t be available, we will find another solution in the area. If neither is possible, we will refund your payment within 24 hours.

What is your advantage to booking through our Cycle Classic Tours platform?

You can request and book online. We bring bike rental companies and cyclists together in a way that benefits both parties. A few bike rental suppliers are asking for a non-refundable advance payment of only 15-20%. In case you cancel a bike rental, you will only lose this payment and not the full amount. It’s our mission to make your cycling holiday an unforgettable cycling travel experience!

Insurance?

Good cycle insurance policies are hard to find, especially for cyclists undertaking extended trips. Leave plenty of time to find the best policy that covers you AND your bike. Depending on your trip, it may be necessary to insure yourself and your bike and accessories separately. Make sure you ask plenty of questions of insurance companies and read the fine print to make sure you understand the policy’s conditions, and what is and isn’t included. It’s also important to know what caveats the insurance company has put in place to avoid having to pay out in the event of a claim: using a lock, not on the insurer’s approved list; not having evidence of ownership of your bike and your lock (eg a sales receipt, photographs, etc); not locking the bike to a fixed object; or not using an ‘official’ cycle rack at a train station can all render a policy useless. It is also a good idea to photograph your bike and accessories prior to departure. If you opt not to wear a helmet, check that the personal liability component of any policy doesn’t require that you wear one.

Responsibility? 

Cycle Classic tour’s errors and mistakes (including misprints) are not binding. By making a reservation through our Cycle Classic Tours CCTBIKERENTAL platform, you enter into a contractual relationship with the rental company at which you book. From the point at which you make your reservation, we act solely as an intermediary between you and the rental company, transmitting the details of your reservation to the relevant rental company and sending you a confirmation email for and on behalf of the rental company. If the rental partner fails to provide the rental bikes according to the agreement, we try to find a solution and find bike(s) elsewhere or refund you the 5 euro admin cost. There will be no refunds on advance payments, except when bikes are not available anymore. The rental company is at all times responsible for deliveries, ( drop off and collection), you need to get in contact with the bike rental station when having a delivery/pick up issue or for all kinds of bike maintenance.

Where to leave your bike?

Please store your rental bike in your hotel room or apartment overnight, and never leave it unattended even when locked whilst out on a ride. Please check with your hotel directly to ensure you will be able to store your bike safely
