If you choose to stay in Cambrils – then the choice to drive towards the Prades Mountains is quickly made. The advantage is that you are not immediately sent flying because the first 20 kilometers are relatively flat. It’s nice to warm up your legs before you have to seriously put your climbing legs on. The climbs are generally not steep – on average around 5% gradient – but can be up to 10 kilometers in length. That means that you can easily overcome 500 meters of altitude before you start the descent again to one of the picturesque villages in the mountain range.
